[Muzaq] Native Instruments’ November Special Offer

Special November Offer

Native Instruments just announced to give a rebate of 50% on their Vintave Compressors (VC 76, VC 2A, and VC 160) and Transient Master plugins.

The rebate is available via the Native Instruments Online Shop ONLY. The offer ends November 26th – so seven days to decide!

Demo Versions

For you, who wanna try-before-buy, check this link for the demo versions. Sadly some really annoying and thus workflow hindering limitation have been applied to the demos:

  • 30mins only total runtime
  • saving presets is possible but loading is not
  • total recall is disabled

We really can’t imagine a scenario where a plugin or an instrument can be tested sufficiently within 30mins, but hmmm… still better than dongles for trial licenses…

[iPhone] Multi-Tasking With Multifl0w

Multifl0w is an attempt to bring multi-tasking capabilities known from our latest toy – the Palm Pre – to the iPhone. Sadly this nice (and overdue) feature is only available to iPhone customers having jailbroken their devices.

It does not feature the Palm Pre’s multitasking gestures nor the ‘swipe up to exit’ functionality, but it seems to be a first good step into bringing the iPhone to the technological presence.

There is a free trial available via Cydia and Rockyourphone. It costs about 5US$.

Check this video and the Multifl0w website for further details:

[News] Pirate Bay Case: Court rules Jail Sentence

In yesterday’s court rules the four people behind the Pirate Bay BitTorrent tracker were convicted to jail sentence and to compensate about 2.8mio euros. Although this might have been a day for the media industry to party, the Pirate Bay guys already said they will definitely appeal.

One of the Pirate Bay guys – Peter Sunde – compared the trial with the Karate Kid. You lose the first fight but there will be a happy ending.

To reach the final verdict by the supreme court could take many years. In the meantime the Pirate Bay platform is still operating. The Pirate Bay guys even started a new service called iPredator, that is basically a VPN service for peer2peer users without logging anything.

For legal reasons, we cannot link those services from Germanistan. You will find them anyhow.
