Better don’t update just now. Rumors say the available update 1.1.4 can be jailbroken using the ZiPhone by Zibri but it has not yet been confirmed. The iNdependence Team just released an update that supports 1.1.4 (definitly without unlocking). Anyway there is no further information if a software unlock (still) works. So better don’t update now and wait until there are more reliable information about it. Following has been reported:
- fix for a text messages bug
- fix for the tab/refresh bug in Mobile Safari has been fixed.
- support for O2 in Ireland and T-Mobile in Austria
Most likely this update prepares iPhones for the official SDK to come in the next days/weeks. More information when we get hold of them. The soft update released by a guy calling himself ChronicProductions should not be used as of now. The author reports some critical misbehaviour…

Alles neue bringt der zu Ende gehende Februar. Für das iPhone und den iPod Touch gibt es das Update 1.1.4. Gerüchte besagen, dass der Jailbreak mittels ZiPhone von Zibri bei Version 1.1.4 funktionsfähig ist. Außerdem wurde eine aktualisierte Fassung von iNdependence veröffentlicht, die einen Jailbreak bei 1.1.4 durchführen kann. Über Möglichkeiten zum Unlock gibt es bislang keine Informationen. Es wurde berichtet, dass das Update Folgendes enthält:
- Fix für einen Bug in der SMS App
- Fix für den Tab/Refresh Bug im MobileSafari
- Unterstützung für weitere Provider: O2 in Irland und T-Mobile in Österreich
Wahrscheinlich ist das Update aber weniger ein Bugfix Update, sondern eher die Vorbereitung auf das offizielle Developer SDK von Apple. Das Soft Update von jemandem names ChronicProductions sollte man derzeit nicht verwenden. Der Author berichtet von eigenwilligen Nebeneffekten bzw. dass es gar nicht funktioniert. Es wird derzeit noch nicht empfohlen das Update auf 1.1.4 zu installieren.
