September 12th, 2009 J. ΞPSTΞÏN 32 years ago. On September 12th, 1977 Steve Biko was tortured to death in a Police Office. Steve Biko was a non-violent Anti-Apartheid activist. On his 1980 album “Melt”, English musician Peter Gabriel dedicated this song to Biko:
