Comments on: [MacOS] Add Avi Files to iTunes Library

First off thank you for posting this, ive been struggling to get this sorted out with no solution, till now that is..
Ive tried the above mentioned steps and they work however after the file is in iTunes the file does not play, i did have to ensure iTunes opens in 32 bit mode but still the file refuses to play.

Any suggestions?

It seems (as far I test) the best solution is the free Perian codec pack.
You didn’t mention the Mac solution: Quick time Pro … offering even much more. But not for free !!
